assessing accession - central & eastern europe in the eu is an internationally focused collaborative research network (CRN) that aims to bring together researchers, academics, students and practitioners with a specific interest in developing a broader understanding of how the EU's political institutions, policy making and citizens have impacted on, and been impacted by, the EU's Central and East European member states.

working papers series

The assessing accession / CRCEES Joint Working Papers Series aims is to provide support to researchers through 'first-stage' dissemination of 'work-in-progress' research papers. These may be papers that have been presented at conferences, seminars or considered to be early drafts of future articles.

This joint working papers series is open to all researchers at all stages of their career and who have an interest in Central & Eastern Europe and the EU. Postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers are especially encouraged to submit their work-in-progress.

Submitted papers should relate to the assessing accession research themes and can report initial or substantive research findings. In this way, the series aims to raise the profile and disseminate the research of individuals linked with the network, while at the same time allowing them to obtain critical feedback on their findings. Further information about the research themes supported by Assessing Accession please click HERE.

All papers will be scrutinised by the working papers series editors in order to determine suitability for publication in the series. Feedback will be provided to authors from the editors. A new feedback mechanism to allow those who download papers to provide further feedback to the authors is also. Papers should be between 5000-7000 words in length (not including references).

Authors should also be aware that they retain full copyright to their work and assessing acession and CRCEES actively encourages them to work towards eventually publishing their working paper in a reputable academic journal.
